SCOPE

Pharmaceutical Education has obtained a place of immense importance in the field of healthcare. A diploma holder in pharmacy is entitled to secure licence to establish his own drug store.

Excellent opportunities are available in State & Central Government hospitals, Private Hospitals, Community Health Centers & other healthcare providers to work as pharmacist.

Pharmaceutical industries recruit diploma holders for various challenging posts.

A diploma holder in pharmacy can pursue higher studies for B'Pharm, M'Pharm and for Ph.D. There is a wide range of opportunities in foreign countries too.

Theory Classes

DURATION

The Diploma in Pharmacy course is two year durations, duly recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India. The academic year usually starts from July to August every year.

ELIGIBILITY

Admission to Diploma in Pharmacy Course is made as per rules and regulations of the Government of Karnataka and the Pharmacy council of India.

A pass in Pre-University Course(PUC) of Two years in Science of Karnataka Pre-University Education Board.

                                                          OR

A pass in the Intermediate 10+2 with Science.
Any other equivalent Examination accepted by the Pharmacy Council of India.

TERMS FOR ADMISSION

In addition to the minimum qualification as mentioned above, the following documents original along with 15 passport size +3 stamp size photos to be submitted

a)  The candidate shall not be less than 16 years of age at the time of admission.

b)  Original documents along withto be submitted are

1)  10th certificate showing date of birth

2)  Statement of the marks of the qualifying examination (10+2 / PUC / PDC)

3)  Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended.

4)  Migration certificate if the candidate is from outside Karnataka.

5)  Conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended and from a prominent person of your locality.
